The Secret Organization is poised to make a major impact in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, though the true confrontation won’t take place until the next season, and a cherished, popular member has just been cast.

The platform declared Tuesday that the talented performer will appear in the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will portray Bentham. The role possesses the power to morph into an exact copy of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their main hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a version of that character reinterpreted as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag queen, in the live-action show, differing from the source material and anime.

This performer is joined by several other recently announced actors tasked with bringing the organization to the screen, such as head Mr. 0, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who is also part of the cast as the monarch of the desert kingdom.

Even though the role is a major member of the group, the character won’t make their debut One Piece the third season. Given the next season expected to adapt the Little Garden storyline, this marks a significant shift in the schedule of the character’s debut, one that could suggest further changes to the narrative framework.

Their mix of sharp comedic timing and deep sensitivity makes them a ideal selection for the character. Along with their recent voice performance in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and numerous honors for penning and acting in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, showcasing the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised characters.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece series is set to return for its season two on the tenth of March, 2026.
