Performer Refutes Anti-Vaccine Position After Lending His Voice To Disputed Pandemic Documentary

Liam Neeson has provided his voice to a feature-length documentary that challenges the safety of vaccinations and lauds one-time cabinet secretary the political figure.

The Documentary's Provocative Origins

Titled "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is adapted from a well-known publication published by Judy Mikovits, who became famous during the pandemic for claims that Covid was linked to a problematic version of the flu vaccine.

Her co-author, Kent Heckenlively, has also written books with conspiracy-prone radio host the Infowars host. The producer recently posted praising Neeson's role in the project.

An Unequivocal Denial

A spokesperson for Liam Neeson have issued a comment strongly denying claims that he holds anti-immunization beliefs.

"We all recognize that misconduct might be present within the drug industry, but that cannot be conflated with being against vaccines," the response explains. "Liam is not, and cannot be described as, anti-vax. His long work with the global charity highlights his consistent support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."

The statement continued that the performer was not involved in crafting the project's narrative and that questions about its assertions should be directed to the creators.

Major Claims Within the Documentary

In the film, the voiceover provided by Neeson makes several controversial claims:

  • It suggests that pro-vaccine voices have insisted on "complete compliance" to health authorities.
  • It argues that "research has become highly politicised."
  • Kennedy is featured claiming, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they just aren't safely tested."
  • It also criticizes stay-at-home orders, saying they caused psychological harm that resulted in thousands of lives.
  • Regarding Covid vaccines, it cites a report that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "dangerous experiments."

Past Controversy and Current Debates

It further cites a historical film about HIV drug testing on children, which was later the subject of a formal apology by the corporation for editorial breaches.

In recent weeks, Kennedy called on the national health agency to alter its long-held position that there is no connection between immunizations and autism spectrum disorder. This supposed link is echoed in the documentary, even with a new report from the World Health Organisation reiterating no connection has been found.

A Past Position of Advocacy

Standing in contrast to the documentary's message, Neeson has previously voiced clear advocacy for vaccines in his position as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

In 2022, he described vaccines as "a remarkable human success story," adding that "The discourse about vaccines in lately has lost sight of how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in our history."

"Plague of Corruption" ends with Neeson's script saying, "This isn't the conclusion of our story. This is the beginning of a fresh chapter."
