Our Task Is Only Executing' - The Way Sudan's Ruthless Paramilitary Group Perpetrated a Massacre

Militiamen smirk as they ride on the bed of a transport truck, racing by a row of nine dead bodies and driving in the direction of the descending Sudan's sun.

"Observe all this effort. Look at this mass destruction," one shouts.

The fighter beams as he directs the recording device on his person and his fellow fighters, their paramilitary badges clearly shown: "The victims will all die like this."

These individuals are exulting in a mass killing that relief organizations suspect killed over thousands of civilians in the Sudanese urban center of the Darfur city in recent weeks.

An Urban Center Isolated from the Outside

Following their control of the community under blockade for approximately two years, from the summer the militia moved to consolidate its position and blockade the remaining residents.

Space-based imagery demonstrate that fighters commenced to construct a massive berm - a raised sand barrier - encircling the perimeter of al-Fashir, closing access routes and blocking aid.

During the encirclement worsened, multiple individuals were killed in an paramilitary attack on a mosque on mid-September, while the UN reported fifty-three additional were killed in drone and artillery strikes on a makeshift community in the autumn.

Explicit Footage Reveals Weaponless Civilians Gunned Down

By sunrise on 26 October the militia conquered the final military strongholds and seized the central headquarters in the community, the main facility of the Military Unit, as the army retreated.

Perhaps the most horrific recordings to appear and examined depicted the results of a mass killing at a campus structure on the western side of the city, where dozens dead bodies were observed spread across the area.

An elderly individual clad in a white tunic remained alone surrounded by the victims. The man turned to look as a fighter armed with a weapon proceeded descending the staircase in the direction of the individual. pointing his weapon, the fighter fired a single round at the victim, who fell to the floor still.

"Why is this person still breathing," one militiaman cried. "Execute him."

Orbital photography taken on 26 October seemed to confirm that executions were also performed on the streets of el-Fasher, as reported by a study released by the university analysis team.

A key witness who communicated said they had witnessed "numerous of our kin being killed - the victims were collected in one place and each one killed."

Paramilitary Officers Seek to Implement Public Relations

In the days that ensued from the killings, paramilitary chief acknowledged that his fighters had committed "violations" and stated the events would be investigated.

Included among apprehended was subsequent to a analysis documenting his murders. Deliberately choreographed and produced video published on the militia's official Telegram channel show the individual being taken into a detention area at a detention facility on the edges of el-Fasher.

Meanwhile, the RSF and affiliated social media profiles commenced trying to alter the account.

Content presenting its militiamen distributing aid to residents were disseminated by various individuals, while the force's public relations unit released several clips purporting to show the compassionate management of government prisoners of war.

Regardless of the online campaign being used by the RSF, their activities in el-Fasher have sparked worldwide outrage.
