Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Manama, as Iran launched missile attacks throughout the Middle East in response for a significant and continuing attack against it by the US and Israel.

Operation "Truthful Promise 4"

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated it was targeting US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the attack on Iran carried out by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.

That initial attack - initiated at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far focused on locations linked to the the regime, with US President Donald Trump calling on the Iranian people to revolt against the regime.

Regional Fallout

In the State of Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israeli military reported it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The defence ministry of the UAE said in a statement that the nation has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems engaged the missiles with great effectiveness and destroyed a several projectiles," it added.

The statement noted missile fragments landed in a neighborhood in the capital, causing some structural damage and killing a civilian.

The United States Air Force operates from the Al Dhafra base, to the south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
