Week 10 once more provided excitement, with a huge upset for the Bills demonstrating the 'any Sunday can bring surprises' saying that draws so many people into the NFL

That result could have created opportunities for the Patriots to move back into a top spot they used to occupy, with a schedule that gives them an advantage over their eight and two competitors

Over in the National Football Conference the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had ideal outcomes to set up a monster clash next week, while our player of the week is chasing records as well as the Most Valuable Player award

Analysis - Simply an Off Day for the Bills?

Josh Allen in action
Was Josh Allen attempt too much or was it just a poor performance for Buffalo?

Could it simply have been an emotional comedown from defeating Kansas City last week or a deeper issue? That's the question for the Bills to answer

The Bills had secured seven victories in a row against the Dolphins but were outperformed from the start as the Miami team ran out 30-13 winners in an surprising outcome - and performance

MVP Josh Allen only got the squad's initial first down in the third quarter and first points in the final quarter - admittedly the Dolphins had ten days to get ready but it was nonetheless a massive egg laid by one of the league's top offences

Dolphins quarterback Tua threw two touchdowns but rusher Achane was the game-changing factor, with 225 combined yards and two scores

Bottling up the league's best rushing attack was crucial too, with James Cook and company registering just eighty-six yards, their fewest of the year and just over fifty percent their 161.5 yard season average

Then there were the three critical turnovers, and the two from Allen specifically. An interception in the scoring area meaning a nine minute drive produced nothing, and his final quarter fumble that Miami converted to seven points just two plays

It was typical 'old Buffalo' as they shot themselves in the foot, falling into a hole on defensive side and Allen trying to do too much to rescue his squad from the situation - not the composed, disciplined, well-balanced Buffalo team we've witnessed this season

Miami have demonstrated a varied performances this season so the jury's out on if this is the beginning of something, but for the Bills they'll require an immediate bounce-back in a difficult matchup against Tampa Bay in week 11 as the New England are quietly moving into a comfortable advantage at the top of the AFC East

Spotlight - Patriots Identify Route to Surprise Top Seed

Regarding the Patriots, they're among three different 8-2 teams in the league, all AFC sides, but could they be the best?

One could pick holes in the Patriots, the Broncos and the Colts really for dominating the lesser sides, with only five of their combined twenty-four wins coming against opponents with a positive record - and one of those was the Indianapolis defeating the Denver

Denver defeated the champion Eagles in Philadelphia and are masters of the final quarter while Indianapolis can rely on Jonathan Taylor, but the Patriots including Sunday's win in Tampa Bay to their prime time success in Buffalo appears to be a statement

Their two defeats came in recently appointed coach Vrabel's first three games, with seven consecutive victories, similar to Denver, from that point - but defeating Mayfield after the Bucs had a week off to get ready was significant

Drake Maye's Most Valuable Player credentials continue to be discussed, and he certainly earns point for bravery after absorbing some hard tackles in Tampa Bay but hanging in there to guide his side to victory

The defense is solid and first-year rusher Henderson exploded on game day with 147 rushing yards and two exciting scores of fifty-five and sixty-nine yards - establishing himself as just the fifth runner to exceed 22 miles per hour this year on his first score

While you can debate who 'the best' is statistically, the Pats should be favorites to end with the top record thanks to their schedule - which features just a single matchup against a winning team, although a significant contest against the Bills

Traveling to the Ravens is challenging too, but Denver have it more difficult in the AFC West division with the Chiefs to face two times, the Los Angeles Chargers (who might also compete for top seed but face the identical challenge) and also the Green Bay on the fixture list

The Indianapolis also play the Chiefs, and have the Seahawks, San Francisco and two matchups with the 5-4 Jaguars to face. There's a considerable distance to travel but the door is open for a surprise top seed in the AFC

Next Week - Rams & Seahawks Set for Next Week Clash

Both squads with strong arguments to be superior to all of the three eight and two sides are National Football Conference West opponents the Seattle and Rams, who both put up 40 burgers to go to seven and two before the upcoming Hollywood blockbuster meeting between the pair in LA

Both have secured four victories in a row, have signal callers in Stafford and Darnold performing at an elite level (although Sam Darnold had ball security problems on Sunday) with top receivers, and defenses allowing fewer than twenty points a game

Each could easily be undefeated as too - particularly the Rams as their pair of losses came in extra time against the San Francisco and then that agonising loss in Philly when they had a potentially winning kick with the last kick deflected and run back by the Philadelphia for a touchdown

Seattle were also defeated to San Francisco, with a late touchdown in the opening week, before losing to the last kick of the contest against the Buccaneers - so they're truly two of the best sides in the NFL

The upcoming game on Sunday could be the best of the year so far

Player of the Week - Jonathan Taylor

Taylor might be on for a historic year after his incredible display in Berlin - rushing for 244 rushing yards, scoring three touchdowns and adding an additional forty-two {receiving yards
